9 Months Old!

Ronan you are 9 months old! You have been outside of Mom for as much time as you were inside her. It seems like growing you took a lot longer than these last 9 months. We are having so much fun with you that time is flying by.
You have done so much this last month. The biggest change for you is that you are now army crawling. We thought that you might start out army crawling and then move on to belly off the floor crawling, and maybe you still will, but you have been scooting along on your stomach for most of the month. We laughed because we have picked you up from daycare a few times and your stomach has been visibly dirty from all your crawling. You are really motoring. You have figured out how to crawl under the coffee table and manuver over the base, but not bang your head on the glass. You also love to crawl to the office and take books off the shelves or play with Mom's exercise bike. You also love to strum your fingers on any heating vent that you can find.

Here you are in the office, getting in trouble and trying to stand by MomThe family had our first taste of White Castle when we visited the Paul's. You have a tear visible on your cheek because George made you cry by being his loud self and yelling.
You loved petting Hoosier at George and Natalie's. He is such a good dog and he let you play with him all you wanted. You seem to really love animals. Your little face lights up when you see them.
New PJs. I love the 2-piece ones.
You had your first haircut on 4/17/10. Dad thought we should even up your little spikes, but I was sad about it. Dad did it himself. You looked very cute after your haircut, but I couldn't help but miss your crazy locks.
Other notables this month include:

4/4 Easter: You had a great time (some pictures already posted). You met your Aunt Nancy, which was great.

4/7/10 Mom picked you up at daycare and you looked up from your walker and said "MA!". I am counting that as your first word. You say mamamama and dadadada and babababa and didi all the time. We think that you might have a word for Nugget Marie (dede), but we are not sure.

4/16/10 You tried out the sippy cup. Not too successful yet, but we aren't worried. You still love to eat. You are eating about the same amount as last month, but you have expanded your tastes to include most stage 3 baby food and lots of table food. You tried your first taco meet (loved it), cheese (loved it), avocado (loved it), cheerios (loved them). Do you see a pattern there?

4/23 Your first episode of pink eye. Mom had to pick you up from daycare and start eye drops. That was fun! The first couple of times you didn't know what was going on, but then once you figured it out, WATCH OUT! You were a madman. I was convinced that I would get it and have to wear my glasses in public, but alas, I was somehow immune.

You have applied for your first passport! We are hoping to do some traveling in the future and wanted to be prepared to take you along. Maybe something exotic, like Canada??

You still have only 2 teeth (Chip and Dale) and we are currently waiting for Alvin and Simon to break the surface. You are wearing some 6/9 months clothes (very tight and short) and some 9/12 month clothes (appropriate fit). You are wearing size 3 shoes, but size 4 would fit better. It is time to put away your favorite Robeez and Pedipeds and buy some new ones (who is Mom kidding?? She already has plenty of new shoes for you).
You weigh > 21 lbs and are 30 inches long. You have grown 8 inches in 9 months! You are in the 97% for height and 75% for weight.
Day care notes:
4/13 Ronan had a great day. :) He worked (or showed off) his army crawl and played on the floor with his friends.
4/20 I love watching Ronan army crawl across the infant room. Love his haircut, but miss the "crazy scientist" look. (From Ms. Lynn)
4/26 Ronan enjoyed walking around the room and showing his caregivers his beautiful dimples. (Mom and Dad love those dimples too!!)
