13 Months...

Hello Cheerio tush, you are OVER a year old now! The girls at daycare laugh at you because you always hide some food somewhere (in your diaper, on your shoe, sticking to your butt). Nugget loves it when you get out of your high chair because you inevitably have some tidbit hanging somewhere.

You have perfected walking, standing, crawling, falling, just about everything. You have been trying to run, but a fast walk is about all you can handle. You vocabulary has expanded quite a bit this month too. I am sure that Mom and Dad are really the only ones who can understand you though! You still call just about everything "ball". Apples, lights, balloons, toys, books, trees, flags are all "ball". You say "uh oh" all the time. I have been working on getting you to say "uh oh spaghettios" so now you say "uh oh shlablah" or something like that. You call Nugget "Ni Ni" or "da". You say "Da Da" but not "Ma Ma" anymore. I have gotten you to say something that sounds like "thank you" and to sing.

You have been doing baby signs at daycare, but we haven't really paid attention to what they were until you started signing "eat" and we couldn't figure out what the heck you were doing. Thank goodness for the internet. Now we know that you also sign "all done" and say "all done" at the same time. What a smart boy!!

You are wearing size 3 diapers, but really need size 4. We are using up the last box of size 3's from Costco. You are wearing 12-18 months clothes and some 18-24 month shirts. You have 7.75 teeth (8 teeth minus the 0.25 chip).
I took a picture of you at your one year appointment with Dr. Mantia. You got a few shots. You are so good with them. You cry for about 5 seconds after getting them and then you are fine the rest of the night. No fussiness, no fever...you wouldn't even know that you got them. You weighed 24 lbs 6 oz (75th %tile), you were 32" tall (97th %tile).

On your way home from your shots. You look so cute sleeping in your seat.

We took you to your first Whitecaps game last month. It was 70's night, so you wore your tie-dyed onsie. You liked people watching.

The fam at the game. I also wanted to sport my 70's gear, but I thought it inappropriate.

Greg and Linds at the game.

We took you to the Allendale splash pad that is right down the road from our house. The water was freezing! You weren't too sure about it and there were big kids slamming around so you basically just got wet and then we were done.

Mad face!
Your favorite toys are your balls and cars. You like to make "vroom vroom" noises with your cars. So cute. You don't do it very loud, but you do it and also spit and sputter as you push them around. You like it when Mom and Dad read you books. You also like to sit and flip the pages yourself. Aunti Linds bought you some Baby Einstein books that you love. You press the noises and bop up and down when you hear the music.
Day care notes:
8/2/10 Ronan had a great day! He enjoyed getting out in the morning for a walk and playing with balls in the classroom.
8/6/10 Ronan had a great day! We went to the gym twice and he really loved it!
8/9/10 Ronan enjoyed playing with the soft blocks. He also liked playing with the soft rings.
8/13/10 Ronan had a great day! He loved doing arts and crafts! And he got to play with Ms Lynn this afternoon. (Ms Lynn was his infant room teacher, who he loved)
8/20/10 Ronan had fun playng in dried oatmeal. (This one was my favorite for the month...who thinks to let your kids play in dried oatmeal??
