25-26 Months

We have had such a great summer! August and September have seemed to go by so quickly. Ronan got to do so many fun things this year. We traveled to Port Hope on August 20 for the last time before the baby is due to be born. We got to see Jim play in the annual Port Hope Kickball Tournament. Ronan loved running the bases and kicking the ball afterward. It was quite the day. Jim's team ended up getting 3nd Place (at least that is what it said on the trophy).

Ronan also loved hanging out with Dad and Uncle Greg on the bench.
We also went to Madeleine Paulson's 3rd birthday party on August 27 at a pool! I wasn't sure if Ronan would like it since he didn't like the pool at all on our vacation in Florida. He absolutely loved it! He was in the water 75% of the time. The other 25% of the time he was playing on the slide and in the sand area that was also there. It was a lot of fun for everyone. I even sported a maternity bathing suit.

Ronan went down the slide into the water where Jim would catch him. He fell down the stairs on the slide soon after I took this picture. Of course, I was the mom with the camera not really watching her kid! The lifeguard even had to run over, but he was totally fine.

We have all been busy getting ready for Little Baby. That includes moving Ronan into a new room and into his big boy bed. Ronan really liked helping Dad get his new cube system ready. There was some anxiety about moving him into his new room and how it would go, but it seems to be going really well. He knows which room is Baby's room and which is his. The only "problem" is that we now have to read about 15-20 books before going to bed each night. I don't want to stifle his love of reading, but sometimes bedtime really gets pushed back.

Ronan is showing his Staat side-making sure everything measures up (maybe doing it 2 or 3 times)!

Oh how the boy loved corn this year! He especially loved seeing Daddy eat the corn off the cob and soon was doing it just like Daddy! Ronan would often eat 2 ears while Jim and I just ate one!

Ronan's first night in his big boy bed was Sept 5, 2011. I got a little teary eyed seeing my big boy there. The funniest part was that Jim and I found him in the morning sleeping on the floor all the way across the room. He didn't make a peep. Since then we have found him on the floor 2 more times. He had his first real wake-up in the middle of the night last night. I had to go in and rock him for 2 minutes.

Just a cute photo of him and his Papa.

Ronan enjoyed visiting Maddie's gymnastics class last month.

He tried to climb the rope and didn't do too bad of a job. He loved jumping into the foam pit. Thankfully, Sarah was there to get him out since I am not too mobile right now.

Some of Ronan's favorite books. He calls "What's Wrong Little Pookie?" his cookie book cause there are cookies on one page. We always taste them when we get to that part. He thinks it is fun to pretend to eat them. He requests "Fifteen Animals" and say Bob whenever it is time to. Super cute.

Ronan got bit again this week! When we asked what happened he said "Jack bit Ronan." He seemed totally unphased by the whole incident. Poor kid! He must look tasty!
